Kathmandu, August 17: The “Wushu Heroes Junior 1st Open Taolu Wushu Championship 2082” successfully concluded on Saturday at Eastpole School, Jorpati.
Organized by Wushu The Young Generation, the one-day event witnessed the participation of nearly 200 athletes and was conducted in a grand and disciplined manner, according to the organizing committee’s Vijay Sinjali.
The championship was organized with the objective of identifying talent from the school level and providing a platform for new athletes to showcase their abilities. A total of 50 gold medals were contested in both junior and sub-junior categories.
Athletes from different schools, Wushu Quans of the Kathmandu Valley, and various districts across the country participated in the event. The championship was supported by the Nepal Wushu Federation and several other organizations, informed organizing committee member Pasang Sherpa.
The medal and certificate distribution ceremony was graced by dignitaries including the President of Namo Buddha Lions Club, Nepal Wushu Federation’s Deputy General Secretary Rajiv Maharjan, Surya Prakash of Advanced Kungfu Association, Wushu coaches, national and international players, and officials from various associations, Quans, and clubs.
Expressing gratitude towards all contributors, the organizing committee extended special thanks to international Wushu referee Bishal Sinjali and his team for providing the Judge Tool Software, which played a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the competition.
Organizing member Vijay Sinjali remarked that the event has added fresh energy among emerging Wushu athletes of Nepal.
